Transition team inspects education, safety, health and welfare sites — gathering residents' input at the integrated CCTV control center, the 50 Plus Center and the Officer Housing Complex 5 park golf course

The transition committee of Yongsan-gu Mayor-elect Kim Gyeong-dae visited key project sites across the district on June 26, gathering residents' views on pressing local issues.
The three sites the team toured were the Yongsan-gu integrated CCTV control center, the 50 Plus Center and the park golf course at Officer Housing Complex 5.
At each site, the team received departmental briefings, identified areas for improvement and agreed on the need to raise policy quality to boost resident satisfaction.
At the integrated control center, the team focused on plans to build a 24-hour smart safety network — one of Kim's campaign pledges. Kim showed particular interest in using AI for crowd and situation management, exchanging questions with the relevant department.
The 50 Plus Center, which opened in February, provides education programs to help middle-aged residents pursue a second career after retirement. Noting that this age group has long been relatively underserved by public policy compared with other generations, the team reviewed the center's operations and heard from enrolled participants. The park golf course at Officer Housing Complex 5 on the returned Yongsan Park site is set to open in July.
Earlier, members of the livelihood economy and integrated welfare subcommittee visited the Cheongpa Senior Welfare Center on June 18, listening to complaints from elderly users and inspecting the facility.
Based on the findings from these inspections, the transition committee plans to finalize the operational direction for the ninth elected-term district administration and complete the blueprint for carrying out key campaign pledge projects without delay.
"The opinions raised during these on-site visits will be reviewed immediately and reflected in our plans, so that district administration genuinely improves residents' daily lives," Kim said.
The transition committee will wrap up its 21-day official activities with a final report and dissolution ceremony on Monday.
