Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon attended the opening ceremony of Nowon-gu's adventure theme park Jump, located at 102 Hangul Biseok-ro in Nowon-gu, on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Jump is an indoor multi-activity sports and recreation facility designed for children, teenagers and families. It features a sky glider for aerial zip-line experiences, a clip-and-climb artificial rock wall, and a jungle gym.
At the ceremony, Oh received a plaque of appreciation from representatives of local children and youth on behalf of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which supported the facility's development as an experiential space for future generations. He then toured key attractions including the artificial rock wall and an FPS laser tag arena, an interactive first-person shooting game.
"Creating spaces where children can play freely and take on new challenges is an investment in Seoul's future," Oh said. "The Seoul Metropolitan Government will continue to expand public experiential facilities like Jump, while also establishing one 'Seoul-type kids cafe' in each of the city's 427 administrative neighborhoods, so that both parents and children can be happy in a Seoul that is a great place to raise kids."
Jump will operate on a trial basis through July 5 before undergoing improvements to some facilities and programming, with a full official opening planned for September.
