BS Hanyang's 'Miryang Sujain the First' show home draws 5,000 visitors as subscriptions open Sunday

Miryang Sujain the First — a privately participated public pre-sale apartment development by BS Hanyang in Miryang, South Gyeongsang Province — drew more than 5,000 visitors to its show home in just three days, as apartment subscriptions officially open Sunday.

The show home for complexes 1 and 2, which opened June 26, saw a steady flow of prospective buyers throughout the three-day period, including the weekend, with visitors coming to confirm subscription eligibility and tour the model units.

Industry officials attributed the strong early interest to the symbolic significance of Miryang's first-ever public housing district, its perceived long-term value, and competitively priced units subject to the price ceiling on new apartments. With construction costs continuing to push pre-sale prices higher across the market, units with an exclusive use area of 55 to 59 square meters are priced in the upper-to-mid 200 million won ($130,000) range, while 74-to-84-square-meter units are set in the low-to-mid 300 million won range — a level widely regarded as competitive.

The development will be built across Block A-1 (complex 1, 744 units) and Block S-2 (complex 2, 322 units) within the Bubuk Public Housing District in Miryang, totaling 1,066 units under a single brand complex. Of these, 540 units are available for general pre-sale under the New Home "standard" category.

The complex sits adjacent to the Miryang Nano Convergence National Industrial Complex, designated as a future advanced materials and components opportunity development zone, offering convenient commutes and a strong base of demand from workers at the industrial park. Sapo Elementary School is located directly in front of the complex, allowing children to walk to school, while Saporo, Miribeolro, the Nam Miryang interchange and KTX Miryang Station provide easy access to destinations within and beyond the city.

The units feature a four-bay flat-plate layout designed to maximize natural light and ventilation, along with ample storage space including walk-in closets and corridor and entryway pantries. Some units also offer views of the Miryang River.

The subscription schedule begins Sunday with special supply, followed by first-priority applications Monday and second-priority on Tuesday. Winners for complexes 1 and 2 will be announced on July 7 and July 8, respectively — different dates that allow applicants to enter both complexes without being disqualified for duplicate subscriptions, improving their overall odds. The formal contract period runs from Aug. 18 to Aug. 20.

"There was strong interest even before the show home opened, given that this is a public pre-sale complex that combines reasonable pricing with high product quality," a BS Hanyang official said. "As a brand complex of 1,066 units that will define Miryang, we are seeing sustained attention from prospective buyers across a wide range of age groups."

Meanwhile, BS Hanyang has supplied apartments this year in Gimpo and Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. Following Gimpo Pungmu transit-oriented area Gracent 2nd, the company teamed up with Jeil Construction to launch Godeok International New Town Sujain Punggyeongchae complexes 1 and 2.
