Singer Lee So-ra returns with new music after 7 years

Singer Lee So-ra is returning with new music for the first time in seven years.

Her agency, Marehim Entertainment, said Monday that Lee will release a new single in July — her first original release since "Sinseonggok (Feat. SUGA of BTS)," a single issued in January 2019.

In the years since "Sinseonggok," Lee has stayed connected with fans primarily through drama series soundtracks.

"It feels surreal to be putting out a new song after such a long time, and I hope many people will listen to it," Lee said through her agency. "I'm grateful to everyone who waited, and I plan to sing a lot more going forward — so please keep watching."

Lee made her debut in 1993 as a member of the vocal group Najseon Saramdeul (Strangers). She went solo in 1995, releasing a string of hits including "Nan Haengbokhae," "Cheonghon," "Geudae Ane Beulleu," "Jebal," "Nae Gyeote Seo Tteonagaji Mallayo," "Gieokae Jwo" and "Barami Bunda."
