Mapo-gu Ready to Launch 9th Elected-Term Administration — Transition Committee Wraps Up!

The transition committee for the 9th elected-term Mapo-gu district chief will hold a dissolution ceremony at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Majung Hall of Mapo Central Library, wrapping up its official activities one day before the new administration takes office.

The committee comprises 15 transition members, including Chairman Hwang In-guk, and 19 advisory members. It launched on June 15 and spent the intervening weeks reviewing district affairs and laying the groundwork for the incoming administration's governance agenda.

Mayor-elect Yoo Dong-gyun will attend the ceremony alongside transition and advisory committee members to reflect on the panel's work and reaffirm their commitment to a fresh start.

The ceremony will open with a screening of a video documenting the committee's activities, followed by a progress report and a presentation of its findings.

Chairman Hwang will personally deliver the presentation, outlining the key projects and policy directions the committee reviewed and sharing the core priorities it has identified for the incoming administration.

Among the priorities are restoring trusted governance, rebuilding public-private partnerships, driving AI-powered administrative innovation, supporting youth development, and establishing a sustainable project management framework — together charting the direction Mapo-gu aims to take under the 9th elected term.

Alongside this, the committee plans to compile its full findings into a printed report and present it to Mayor-elect Yoo.
