Air Busan launches fare sale as fuel surcharges drop, with Japan routes from 66,100 won

Air Busan is launching a discounted fare promotion on international and domestic routes to coincide with a reduction in fuel surcharges taking effect in July, bundling ticket discounts with additional perks to capture summer vacation and September travel demand.

The airline said Tuesday it will begin selling promotional fares on 27 international routes and four domestic routes starting Wednesday.

The international promotion runs from July 1 through July 7, covering 21 routes departing from Busan and six from Incheon. The domestic sale runs from July 1 through July 3 and applies to all domestic routes. Travel on both international and domestic tickets must be completed by Sept. 30.

One-way all-in fares — including fuel surcharges and airport taxes — start at 66,100 won ($43) for Japan routes, 119,900 won for Taiwan routes, 143,900 won for Southeast Asia routes, and 31,900 won for domestic routes. Actual fares may vary depending on the route, travel date and seat availability.

Beyond the discounted tickets, Air Busan is offering additional perks. Customers who purchase international promotional fares will receive discounts of up to 40,000 won on ancillary service bundles. Those who book promotional fares on the Bangkok and Taipei routes will be entered into a draw for hotel accommodation vouchers at their destination.

The airline is also offering a mobile payment benefit throughout July: customers who pay for international or domestic tickets using Naver Pay will earn up to 15,000 won in Naver Pay points.

The promotion is designed to pass on the benefit of lower fuel surcharges — driven by easing global oil prices — directly to customers through cheaper fares and added perks. With the peak summer travel season approaching, competition among airlines on promotional pricing is expected to intensify.

"We prepared this promotion to be more generous so that customers can feel the benefit of lower fuel costs firsthand," an Air Busan official said. "We hope travelers will take this opportunity to plan a smart summer vacation at a more affordable price with Air Busan."
