Gachon University's Startup College (Coconet School) on Tuesday launched the fifth cohort of the Hana Social Venture University youth entrepreneurship program, a joint initiative run by Hana Financial Group and the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The Hana Social Venture University is the country's largest youth startup development program, operated by Hana Financial Group and the Ministry of Employment and Labor in partnership with 30 hub universities nationwide. It is offered free of charge and focuses on practical training that combines startup methodology with regional market analysis to identify and nurture community-based young entrepreneurs.
Gachon University has served as the hub institution for eastern Gyeonggi Province since last year, with the Startup College overseeing program operations. Last year, about 70 young entrepreneurs took part, refining their startup ideas and strengthening their capacity to bring them to market.
This year, 60 participants were selected through a written screening process.
