Actor Yoo Ah-in eyes comeback with G-Dragon's agency amid reports of multibillion-won contract

Speculation is growing that actor Yoo Ah-in, 39, who received a suspended prison sentence on drug charges, may be preparing a return to the entertainment industry.

Multiple outlets reported Tuesday that Yoo is in talks to move to Galaxy Corporation — the agency of singer G-Dragon — after his exclusive contract with UAA (United Artist Agency) expired.

Reports also indicated that the two sides are negotiating a signing fee, with Galaxy Corporation reportedly offering a minimum of 5 billion won ($3.24 million).

The move has prompted speculation that Yoo is actively preparing to resume his entertainment career.

Yoo has been inactive for more than three years since drug allegations surfaced in early 2023. He was indicted on charges of repeatedly administering propofol 181 times between September 2020 and March 2022, purchasing more than 1,000 tablets of psychotropic drugs including Stilnox under another person's name between May 2021 and August 2022, and smoking marijuana three times while traveling in Los Angeles with acquaintances in January 2023. A sentence of one year in prison, suspended for two years, was finalized last July.

Comeback rumors had surfaced once before, in December 2025, when reports emerged that Yoo was considering a return through "Vampir," a new film by "Exhuma" director Jang Jae-hyun.

Galaxy Corporation's roster includes singers G-Dragon, Taemin and Kim Jong-kook, as well as actor Song Kang-ho.
