Lee Sang-cheon, an adviser to the Korea Roller Sports Federation and co-representative of DS Committy Co., received a special prize at the 31st KBS 119 Awards ceremony, held June 24 at the KBS Annex TV Public Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.
Lee was recognized for his response to the November 2025 collapse of Boiler Unit No. 5 at Korea East-West Power's Ulsan Thermal Power Plant, which occurred during demolition work. Acting as co-representative of DS Committy alongside CEO Lee Sang-cheol, he provided specialized equipment and other support to fire department crews at the scene, helping them swiftly remove hazardous structures and rescue those trapped. He was also credited for his ongoing participation in a disaster-response personnel pool, contributing to the country's national disaster management system.
In an interview at the ceremony, Lee said the company would "continue to grow as a business that fulfills its social responsibilities, with safety as our foremost value."
