Amorepacific said Tuesday that The Climate Group, the body overseeing the global renewable energy initiative RE100, has officially verified the company's renewable energy transition across all its global operations.
Amorepacific consistently raised its renewable electricity conversion rate from around 5 percent in 2020, completing the full transition companywide in 2025. Since joining RE100 in 2021 as the first company in Korea's beauty industry to do so, it has led the domestic renewable energy market by signing direct power purchase agreements and virtual power purchase agreements. The company also expanded its self-owned solar capacity from 196 kilowatts in 2011 to approximately 7,145 kilowatts today.
Amorepacific recently earned the top A rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project, a global environmental management assessment body, across all three evaluated categories: climate change response, water resource management and supplier engagement assessment.
Kwon Soon-chul, head of Amorepacific's safety and environment division, said achieving RE100 is "not an endpoint but a new starting point," adding that the company will "expand procurement of high-additionality renewable energy, work with partners to reduce carbon emissions across the entire supply chain, and continue to lead in sustainable management."
Meanwhile, Amorepacific's sustainability performance, including its RE100 achievements, is detailed in the 2025 Amorepacific Holdings Sustainability Report.
