Beverage maker partners with local authorities in water conservation and ESG efforts
Dong-A Otsuka said June 30 it partnered with Anyang City Hall's Ecological Stream Division and the Anyangcheon Ecological Story Center to conduct the "Oh My River Campaign," an environmental cleanup and invasive plant removal drive, at the Hwachang Wetland along the Anyangcheon.
Employees from Dong-A Otsuka and Anyang City Hall staff took part in the event, collecting trash and removing invasive plant species from the wetland area. Chae Jeong-u, a researcher at the Gyeonggi Province Forest Environment Research Institute, gave a lecture on the characteristics of invasive plant species.
The campaign is part of Dong-A Otsuka's ongoing environmental protection efforts. In May, to mark Ocean Day, the company joined a public-private marine cleanup operation alongside more than 30 agencies and organizations, including the East Sea Regional Coast Guard, Gangneung Coast Guard Station, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and the Gangneung Fisheries Cooperative.
