The Golfzon Cultural Foundation, chaired by Kim Young-chan, delivered daily necessities to vulnerable households in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province, and Muju-gun, North Jeolla Province, as part of its "Golfzon Neighbor Love Happy Sharing" campaign.
The foundation visited Sacheon City Hall on June 23 to donate 15 million won ($9,730) worth of daily necessities for 350 low-income households in the city. It followed up June 30 at the Muju-gun office, providing 10 million won worth of goods to 250 vulnerable households in the county.
Through the campaign in the first half of this year, the foundation provided 93 million won worth of daily necessities to vulnerable residents across seven regions nationwide. It plans to continue the support in the second half of the year, with a full-year target of around 180 million won worth of goods.
"The Golfzon Cultural Foundation has carefully looked after marginalized neighbors throughout society and practiced genuine sharing," Kim said. "We will continue to reflect the voices from the field and carry out diverse social contribution activities so that support reaches where it is needed most."
