Kia opens orders for 2027 Tasman and Tasman Open Bed

Kia said Tuesday it has begun taking orders for the 2027 Tasman, a model-year update of its full-size pickup truck, along with the new Tasman Open Bed variant.

The 2027 Tasman introduces a new trim called Best Selection, which bundles a range of customer-preferred features as standard equipment.

Built on the existing Adventure trim, the Best Selection adds a surround view monitor, remote smart parking assist, Digital Key 2 and a 100W USB-C port, along with an electronic four-wheel-drive system, a differential lock and terrain mode — all included as standard.

Kia also cut the price of the entry-level Dynamic trim by 2.5 million won ($1,620) through spec optimization, lowering the barrier to purchase for more customers.

In addition, Kia expanded availability of its genuine accessories — side steps, a bed cover package and a sports bar package, previously offered from the Adventure trim upward — to the Dynamic trim as well, allowing buyers to configure the Tasman to suit their needs.

Prices for the 2027 Tasman are 35 million won for the Dynamic, 41.2 million won for the Adventure, 43.5 million won for the Best Selection, 45.05 million won for the Extreme and 52.55 million won for the X-Pro.

The Tasman Open Bed, also unveiled Tuesday, is a specialized model featuring a cargo bed that opens on three sides and a maximum payload capacity of one ton, giving it strong utility for work-oriented use.

Kia equipped the Tasman Open Bed with a 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine to deliver capable performance on rough terrain. The model also comes with advanced driver-assistance and convenience features, including navigation-based smart cruise control, a panoramic wide display powered by the ccNC infotainment system, and heated and ventilated seats.

The Tasman Open Bed is offered in a single trim at 33.99 million won.

"The 2027 Tasman significantly expands the convenience features customers prefer and broadens the trim lineup, allowing us to deliver the appeal of a pickup in more diverse ways," a Kia official said. "We expect the Tasman Open Bed in particular to be the ideal choice for small business owners in suburban and rural areas, as well as workers on remote island and mountain job sites who regularly navigate rugged terrain — meeting both their practical needs and economic considerations."

Meanwhile, the Tasman — Kia's first full-size pickup truck — sold 1,656 units in the domestic market from January through May this year.
