Pre-launch ceremony held to open campaign
Official logo and mascots unveiled for first time
Korea office opened to target Korean market
The Brunei Tourism Board has opened a Korea office and launched its Visit Brunei Year 2027 campaign, signaling a push into the global tourism market.
The board held a pre-launch ceremony for Visit Brunei Year 2027 on June 20 at Jerudong Park Garden in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, marking the official start of the tourism campaign.
Prince Abdul Mateen and Princess Anisha Rosnah attended the event. At the ceremony, the board unveiled the official Visit Brunei Year 2027 logo and the campaign's mascots, Awang and Dayang, and outlined the direction of upcoming tourism initiatives and key events.
The Brunei Tourism Board recently opened a Korea office as part of a broader effort to target Korean travelers. Building on Visit Brunei Year 2027, the board plans to expand promotional activities through travel industry partnerships and media and influencer campaigns.
Brunei is about five and a half hours from Korea by air via Incheon. Visitors can experience the country's natural and cultural attractions, including Kampong Ayer — the world's largest water village — the pristine rainforest of Ulu Temburong National Park, and the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
The Brunei Tourism Board also announced plans for major events in culture, sports, lifestyle and business to mark the 60th anniversary of the sultan's accession to the throne. The Bruneian government envisions using Visit Brunei Year 2027 to showcase a range of international events and raise the country's profile and competitiveness in the global tourism market. Further information is available on the Brunei Tourism Board's website and social media channels.
