20 local tourism companies take part, offering 62 products and travel experiences
Online sales channel aims to strengthen competitiveness of Incheon's tourism industry
Products and travel content created by Incheon-based tourism companies are set to reach consumers nationwide through an expanded sales network.
The Incheon Tourism Corporation announced Tuesday that it will run an online shopping event under the "Incheon Sanghoe" banner through Aug. 31, using an online shopping platform to help local tourism businesses break into broader markets.
Incheon Sanghoe is a project designed to discover local brands that commercialize Incheon's regional character and tourism resources, while supporting tourism companies that struggle to secure sales channels.
The online event is notable for extending the sales model for local tourism products — previously centered on offline channels — into the online market.
Twenty companies selected from among participants in the Incheon Sanghoe Mutual Growth Partners program are taking part, offering 62 products that consumers can purchase online. The lineup includes food and beverages, tourism souvenirs, and hands-on travel experiences, all reflecting Incheon's distinct local character.
Featured products include processed agricultural goods made from Ganghwa Island specialties, beverages evoking Incheon's coastal imagery, and lifestyle souvenirs inspired by local landmarks.
Travel experiences are also on offer. Marine tourism programs, island travel packages, and local cultural experiences give consumers direct access to Incheon's natural environment and history.
Participating companies' products will remain available on the online platform after the event ends, meaning the initiative is expected to deliver long-term distribution benefits rather than one-off support.
Discount coupons based on purchase amount will be available to shoppers during the event, and some products will be offered at up to 50 percent off.
