Star Truck Korea unveils benefits of 'Star Million Club' membership for long-haul Mercedes-Benz truck customers

Star Truck Korea, the official importer of Mercedes-Benz trucks in South Korea, has unveiled the key benefits of its Star Million Club membership program for long-term vehicle operators, strengthening its vehicle maintenance support.

The company said Tuesday it operates the Star Million Club, which provides differentiated benefits based on a registered vehicle's cumulative mileage and operating history.

For tractor and cargo models, the program divides members into four tiers by cumulative mileage: Star Member (under 1 million kilometers), Rising Star (1 million to under 2 million kilometers), Road Star (2 million to under 3 million kilometers), and Ambassador Star (3 million kilometers or more).

Dump trucks are classified by years in service from the date of first registration: under five years, five to under 10 years, 10 to under 15 years, and 15 years or more.

All registered vehicles receive a free annual inspection until deregistration, allowing customers to undergo preventive maintenance regularly to improve safety and operational reliability, the company said.

Tier-based benefits are applied on a graduated scale. Members at the Rising Star level and above receive a 10 percent discount on labor costs, while Road Star and Ambassador Star members receive additional parts discounts of 20 percent and 30 percent, respectively. The parts discount applies until a vehicle's annual cumulative parts purchases — calculated from Jan. 1 each year and excluding value-added tax — reach 10 million won ($6,460).

Star Truck Korea plans to expand quarterly merchandise giveaways, customer invitation events and brand programs for Star Million Club members, and will introduce additional benefits linked to a loyalty program.

"Operating a commercial vehicle for a long time is directly tied to a customer's business competitiveness," said Dong Geun-tae, chief executive of Star Truck Korea. "Through the Star Million Club, we will continue to provide tangible benefits to long-term operators and support them in reducing total cost of ownership and running their businesses stably."

Meanwhile, Star Truck Korea has been actively working to improve customer convenience, running a special promotion throughout June that offered commercial vehicle customers financing programs, maintenance services and repurchase support benefits.
