Domestic sales reach 3,637 units; exports hit record 8,345 units
Best monthly total since March 2023
KG Mobility (KGM) sold 11,982 vehicles globally in June — 3,637 in the domestic market and 8,345 through exports — the company announced Tuesday. The figure marks a 29.8 percent increase from the same month last year and the highest monthly sales total since March 2023, when the automaker moved 13,679 units.
Exports were particularly strong, surging 34.6 percent year-on-year on the back of higher shipments to Turkey and Hungary. The June tally of 8,345 units surpassed the previous all-time monthly export record of 8,147 units set in December 2024.
By model, the Torres EVX led with 2,035 units, followed by the Musso pickup at 1,482 units — which launched globally in April — while the Torres, Musso EV and other models each exceeded 1,000 units, reflecting broad-based growth across the lineup. The Musso, launched domestically in January, crossed the cumulative 10,000-unit mark in combined domestic and overseas sales within five months of its debut.
KGM has been accelerating its push into global markets through a series of new-model events this year: a dealer conference in Germany in February, test-drive events for the Actyon Hybrid and Musso EV in Germany and a Musso launch in Turkey in April, and Musso launch and test-drive events in Chile and Germany in June.
Domestic sales also recovered, rising 20 percent year-on-year and 9.6 percent from the previous month, driven by continued demand for the Musso and the newly released KGM New Torres.
For the first half of the year, KGM sold a combined 56,759 units — 21,806 domestically and 34,953 through exports — up 6.5 percent from 53,272 units in the same period last year.
"In June, the Torres EVX as well as the Musso, Torres and Musso EV each recorded exports of more than 1,000 units, driving broad-based growth and an all-time monthly export record," a KGM official said. "With export volumes rising sharply alongside expanded new-model launches, we will continue to strengthen our response in both domestic and overseas markets to further grow sales."
Meanwhile, KGM has been expanding its customer outreach through various initiatives, including a recent recruitment drive for its "KGM AI Creator Club." The program selects content creators who use AI generation tools to interpret the KGM brand, its products and promotions in new ways.
