Girls' Generation to make comeback next summer for 20th anniversary

Girls' Generation member Tiffany has announced that the group will make a comeback next summer.

Tiffany appeared on the June 27 episode of the MBC variety show "All-Knowing Talking Show," sharing updates on her newlywed life and revealing plans for the group's 20th anniversary.

"Since getting married, I've found the strength to wrap up each day and face tomorrow," she said. "We did big things for our 10th and 15th anniversaries, so we've built up the know-how. The 20th anniversary will also come with a big project." Her remarks raised anticipation for the group's return to the stage.

"Girls' Generation was born in the summer, so we're preparing a comeback for next summer," Tiffany said. "We're working hard and hope to show you our best."

She also spoke about her husband, actor Byun Yo-han. "My husband says he has no idea how far my sisters-in-law — the Girls' Generation members — will go," she said, adding that the members she meets call him "brother-in-law." Tiffany also mentioned that Byun sent a coffee truck to the set of "Yumi's Cells," the musical she is currently appearing in. "The point color of the show is yellow, so he specifically tracked down a yellow coffee truck and even prepared yellow lemon madeleines," she said. "He was really thoughtful."

Girls' Generation debuted in August 2007 with "Into the New World," making a splash on the Korean pop scene. Tiffany and Byun appeared together in the Disney+ drama series "Uncle Samsik" in 2023 before confirming their relationship and officially marrying in February this year.
