Seoul Housing & Communities Corp. appoints Lee Seok-jung as new residential welfare chief

Lee Seok-jung, formerly head of the public relations office at the Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation, has been appointed standing executive director and head of the residential welfare division.

Lee joined SH in 1992 as an administrative staff member. An SH official said Lee was selected through an open recruitment process based on his hands-on experience across various residential welfare projects, his leadership in corporate organization management and performance evaluation, and his role in major initiatives including the Han River development project.

Lee graduated from Jeonbuk National University with a degree in business administration in 1992 and earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Seoul in 2014. He subsequently held a series of senior positions at SH, including head of the public housing department, head of the management division, and director of the Han River development project office.

In his new role, Lee will oversee key residential welfare projects pursued jointly by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and SH — including Mirinaezip, a long-term jeonse housing program exclusively for newlywed couples — as well as major initiatives under the ninth elected-term city administration.
