Broadcaster Ham So-won fractures pelvis in parking accident, undergoes surgery

Broadcaster Ham So-won is recovering after fracturing her pelvis in a traffic accident and undergoing surgery.

TV Daily reported Tuesday that Ham recently collided with a utility pole while parking on a downhill slope as she engaged the handbrake.

Ham was diagnosed with a pelvic fracture, transported to a hospital in Seoul and underwent surgery, according to the report.

Ham made her entertainment debut after being named Miss Korea Pacific in 1997. She gained wide recognition for her candid and outspoken personality on the TV Chosun variety program "Anaeui Mat" (Wife's Taste) and went on to build a following in China through subsequent activities there.

Ham married Chinese national Jin Hua in 2017 and had a daughter with him, but the couple divorced in 2022. She has since ended her cohabitation with Jin and returned to South Korea, where she now lives with her daughter.
