Second auction set for July 15 at 388 million won
A two-story detached house surrounded by forest, sitting on roughly 200 pyeong of land, has gone to auction in the 300 million won range.
A two-story country house in Gangha-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, with a land area of 220 pyeong has been listed for auction, prompting a visit to the site.
The property — land and house sold together as a single lot — comprises a basement level and two above-ground floors. The land measures 727.0 square meters (219.9 pyeong, where 1 pyeong equals 3.3 square meters) and the building 300.0 square meters (90.7 pyeong). An additional unlisted structure of 25.2 square meters (7.6 pyeong) is also included.
A creditor filed for a voluntary auction on the property, and the first auction was held July 10. The initial appraised value was 554.26 million won ($357,000), broken down as 273.35 million won for the land and 227.02 million won for the building. Trees on the property were valued at about 40 million won, and the unlisted structure at 13.88 million won.
After one failed auction, a second auction is scheduled for July 15 at 387.98 million won — 70 percent of the initial appraised value. If the property again finds no buyer, a third auction will proceed on Aug. 19 at 271.58 million won.
