Gwanak-gu is recruiting members for its 2026 Local Tax Delinquency Management Team to promote fair tax order and create public-sector jobs in the district, district mayor Park Jun-hee's office announced.
The team will conduct phone consultations and on-site investigations to assess delinquent taxpayers' financial situations and payment capacity, carrying out tailored collection work rather than simple payment reminders.
The district will select seven fixed-term workers to serve on the team. Applications are open through July 10. Any South Korean national aged 18 or older who can perform phone consultation and field investigation duties and is not disqualified from public employment may apply.
Applicants may apply in person at the Tax Collection Division on the second floor of the Gwanak-gu District Office, or online through the Seoul Metropolitan Government's local tax delinquency management team recruitment website.
Those selected will work five days a week, six hours a day, from August through November — approximately four months. Compensation will be based on the Seoul Metropolitan Government's living wage standard.
In keeping with open recruitment principles, applicants will be evaluated fairly without restrictions based on gender, physical condition or educational background. Final selections will be announced July 22, with successful candidates notified individually.
"The local tax delinquency management team is a field-centered public job that connects residents with the administration, and an important project for establishing a fair tax order," district mayor Park said. "We will operate the team in a stable manner through a transparent and fair hiring process, and pursue a warm and equitable collection administration that protects diligent taxpayers."
