Cohort conducted on-site coverage and campus interviews over 3 months
Top performers honored with Special Ambassador awards
Dunamu held the closing ceremony for its inaugural Upclass Ambassador cohort on Thursday at UP Space in Yeoksam-dong, the company announced Sunday.
Launched in April, the first cohort was assembled through a multi-stage selection process that included a document screening, a preliminary assignment testing economic knowledge and content-planning skills, and a video interview, ultimately bringing together 12 participants.
The Upclass Ambassador program tasks university students with interpreting, documenting and expanding Upclass educational content from a student perspective. Social media reach — including personal blogs and Instagram accounts — was a key selection criterion, and the cohort drew students from a range of schools, including the six universities where Upclass sessions were held in the first half of the year.
Over three months, the selected ambassadors served as embedded reporting partners, following the full arc of the Upclass program. They attended on-campus sessions in person to document proceedings, and worked in pairs to interview Dunamu staff and guest speakers, producing substantive content from those exchanges.
The ambassadors also led campus focus-group interviews exploring how students perceive digital assets — touching on questions such as whether cryptocurrency is an investment vehicle or a technology — and published research notes based on their findings. In total, they produced more than 100 pieces of content, including a series titled "Digital Asset Voices from Campus," accumulating roughly 70,000 views.
Standout pieces were cross-posted to external channels, including the Dunamu blog and the economics magazine Ecke, drawing wider attention. Ambassadors also sharpened their content skills through hands-on mentoring from working editors at Daehak Naeil, which included lectures and one-on-one manuscript feedback.
The closing ceremony was officially named "BUILD-UP DAY," a title conceived to reflect the idea that three months of incremental growth — stacked up like building blocks — had become an irreplaceable asset unique to each ambassador.
The event brought together all 12 first-cohort ambassadors and Dunamu officials, including Chief Business Innovation Officer Yoon Seon-ju. Every ambassador gave a reflective presentation revisiting the "LEVEL-UP Board" they had filled out at the program's launch ceremony.
All participants received certificates of completion. The two ambassadors who earned the highest composite scores across four evaluation categories — including content view counts and engagement — were named Special Ambassadors and each received 300,000 won ($193) worth of bitcoin.
"Thanks to the ambassadors' fresh perspectives and passion, we were able to communicate the value of digital assets and future finance to university students in a more accessible and approachable way," Yoon said. "We are grateful for the strong energy the ambassadors brought over these three months, and we hope this experience serves as a solid foundation as they grow into the leaders who will shape the future financial ecosystem."
