Hite Jinro Beverage announced Monday that its non-alcoholic beer-flavored drink Terra Zero has sold a cumulative 4 million cans in the 100 days since its launch.
That marks the fastest any non-alcoholic beverage in South Korea has reached the 4 million-can milestone. The figure works out to an average of about 40,000 cans a day — or one can every 2.2 seconds.
Stacked end to end, 4 million cans would rise to roughly 2,000 times the height of Yeouido's 63 Building (249 meters). Laid flat, the combined base area of the cans would cover about 13,300 square meters — comparable to the playing field at Jamsil Baseball Stadium.
Terra Zero is brewed using Australian malt extract and contains no alcohol, calories, sugar or sweeteners — a combination the company markets under the "Real Zero" banner.
"We will consistently create opportunities for consumers to experience Terra Zero in a wide range of settings, from watching sports to outdoor activities in summer," a Hite Jinro Beverage official said.
