Bank aims to widen customer touchpoints through stronger platform competitiveness
Shinhan Bank is reorganizing its structure — including the creation of a new Super SOL Task Force centered on the group's integrated platform — to expand its digital customer base and improve financial convenience.
Shinhan Bank held its "2026 Second-Half Management Strategy Conference" on Sunday at its training center in Giheung-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, with about 180 executives and employees in attendance, including President Jeong Sang-hyeok.
The bank will establish the Super SOL Task Force to strengthen group-wide collaboration, and create a Marketing Division and a Customer Marketing Department to sharpen marketing capabilities tailored to different customer profiles. It also plans to set up a new Information Security Department to deepen data protection expertise and customer trust, and will reorganize the existing Treasury Department into an expanded Treasury Division to consolidate fund management functions and improve operational efficiency.
"Everything we are pursuing is ultimately about reaching more customers — that is the starting point for preparing for the future," Jeong said. "To keep earning customers' continued trust, we must be able to offer better solutions before they even realize they need them." He added that staff should not only establish a solid operational framework but also consistently prioritize the protection of customer assets and interests, and remain committed to financial consumer protection and internal controls.
Shinhan Bank's strategy centers on the group's integrated platform, Shinhan Super SOL, to broaden customer touchpoints while also focusing on boosting work productivity through AI. The bank placed particular emphasis on linking core financial services from group affiliates — including banking, cards, securities, insurance and savings banking — through Shinhan Super SOL to enhance customer convenience and expand the group's overall customer base.
Key initiatives presented to achieve this include expanding the core customer base through enhanced customer management and sales support solutions, widening customer touchpoints using Shinhan Super SOL and non-financial platforms, and driving AI-based work innovation and productivity gains through AI agents.
The conference also shared strategies for acquiring primary-relationship customers using SOL LINK, a Shinhan Super SOL-exclusive product launched July 1. SOL LINK is a hybrid account that connects a bank deposit account with a securities investment account, allowing customers to use deposited funds for share trading without a separate transfer. The product is designed to simultaneously attract new customers and deepen relationships with existing primary-relationship customers. Its key feature is that deposited funds can be deployed directly for investment without opening a separate securities account or transferring money.
