SK Ecoplant brings AI tutoring, premium study cafe and specialty coffee to 'Dfine' communities

SK Ecoplant is partnering with specialized education and cafe brands to differentiate the residential services it offers in apartment communities.

SK Ecoplant announced Monday it had signed MOUs with Daekyo CNS, ING Story and Haksan for "residential service supply and project cooperation."

The agreements are designed to raise living convenience for residents and strengthen the competitiveness of residential services by combining specialized education and cafe offerings with shared community facilities in apartment complexes.

Under the agreements, SK Ecoplant plans to apply each partner's specialized services to community facilities within its apartment complexes.

Daekyo CNS will supply its AI-based learning care service "Tugboat" to community study rooms. Tugboat analyzes a learner's concentration and emotional state to provide personalized study consulting and help build efficient study habits.

ING Story will apply the premium interior design and operational services of its study cafe brand "Jakshim" to community spaces. Residents will also be able to access a range of paid online lecture content covering civil service exams, English and other subjects.

The premium residential brand Dfine will also receive a dedicated cafe service. Haksan, the coffee supplier for specialty coffee brand Terarosa, will supply "Dfine Blending" beans to community cafes in each complex for two years after completion. Coffee machines will be provided at no charge.

SK Ecoplant developed the Dfine Blending beans together with Terarosa in 2024 to reflect the Dfine brand identity. The company plans to expand the service to all Dfine complexes going forward.

SK Ecoplant said it intends to restructure its residential service framework around shared community facilities and, through collaboration with specialized service companies, secure both service quality and operational stability.

"In line with the trend of housing product competitiveness extending to the living experience and service quality after move-in, we will develop differentiated residential services that go beyond the quality of the space itself and meaningfully improve residents' quality of life," said Lee Gi-yeol, the executive in charge of SK Ecoplant's redevelopment projects.
