Bucheon city is stepping up efforts to attract leading companies to the Bucheon Daejang urban advanced industrial complex.
The city said Sunday it will accept corporate investment proposals for industrial facility sites at the Bucheon Daejang No. 1 and No. 2 urban advanced industrial complexes from July 6 through Dec. 31.
To broaden participation, the city significantly relaxed its eligibility requirements. Previously, only companies with average annual revenue of 450 billion won ($292 million) or more over the past three years could apply. Under the new announcement, that threshold has been lowered to 350 billion won, allowing a wider pool of qualified companies to take part.
Target industries include semiconductor materials, components and equipment, precision machinery, eco-friendly climate technology, future mobility, biotech and health, and information and communications technology.
The investment sites consist of 11 industrial facility plots within the Daejang complex. Companies may select plots suited to their business needs — whether focused on research and development or production — and submit investment proposals accordingly.
The city said it will evaluate applicants comprehensively, weighing the feasibility of their business plans, technological capabilities and potential contribution to the local economy before making final selections.
Applications must be submitted in person with the required documents. Selected companies will sign a move-in agreement with Bucheon city, followed by an industrial complex occupancy contract, then proceed to a land sale agreement with Korea Land and Housing Corp.
