Gong Yoo, Kim Go-eun reunite for 'Goblin' 10th anniversary trip — in a Maserati

Italian luxury carmaker Maserati said Sunday it supplied its Grecale SUV for a tvN special variety show commemorating the 10th anniversary of the hit drama series "Goblin" (full title: "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God").

The show, titled "Shining Together — Goblin 10th Anniversary Travel," aired on tvN and Tving on July 4 and 5 as part of tvN's 20th anniversary project. It followed the drama's original leads — Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-wook, Kim Go-eun and Yoo In-na — reuniting after a decade for a nostalgia trip to Gangneung. Maserati said the vehicle partnership was arranged to honor the brand's special connection with "Goblin," which became a global phenomenon when it aired in 2016.

During the original broadcast, Maserati supplied its entire domestic lineup: the Levante — the brand's first-ever SUV — the Quattroporte, the GranTurismo and the GranCabrio.

Maserati Korea renewed that relationship for the anniversary show by providing the Grecale, its next-generation SUV, as the cast's travel vehicle. The Grecale appeared throughout the program, with the brand saying its design, spacious interior and driving performance added comfort and style to the trip.

"Just as the Levante accompanied 'Goblin' on its beloved journey when it first aired, we wanted to showcase an intensified Italian luxury — refined over a decade — through the next-generation Grecale," said Gaurav Thapa, head of Maserati Korea. "We will continue to naturally convey the brand's heritage and lifestyle values alongside content that defines the era."

Meanwhile, Maserati Korea has been stepping up its marketing efforts to broaden customer touchpoints, supplying vehicles to a string of popular drama series beyond the anniversary show.

The brand recently provided three models — the MC20 Cielo super sports car, the GranTurismo high-performance GT and the Grecale luxury SUV — for the SBS drama series "Brave New World," which recently concluded its run. It also supplied three vehicles for the JTBC drama series "Reborn Rookie," which wrapped up Sunday: the GranTurismo Trofeo GT, the all-electric Grecale Folgore SUV and the MC20 Cielo super sports car.
