Inojin, led by CEO Lee Gwang-hoon, will jointly pursue anti-aging biomaterial development and commercialization with a contract research organization.
The company, which operates in hair loss treatment and skin regeneration, said Monday it recently signed an MOU with Humic, co-led by CEOs Seo Gi-ho and Son Seung-hwan, to that effect.
Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop anti-aging technology-based biomaterials and ingredients. They plan to collaborate on preclinical research into the efficacy, safety and biological mechanisms of the developed materials, as well as anti-aging biomarker analysis, efficacy verification and regulatory testing. The companies also agreed to share technology and information and pursue joint commercialization.
Inojin has continued research into functional products and biomaterials in the hair loss and scalp care sectors. It has recently expanded into hospital and clinic retail channels and digital healthcare, and is developing a range of anti-aging solutions including functional cosmetics, medical devices and a digital diagnostic platform.
"We expect this to serve as an opportunity to build a new growth foundation in the anti-aging sector by combining the expertise and research capabilities of both companies," an Inojin official said.
