Seoul's Dobong-gu will hold a 2027 college admissions strategy seminar on July 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Seoninbong Hall on the second floor of the Dobong-gu district office, ahead of the early admissions application period.
The seminar will feature Kim Chang-sik, director of the admissions strategy research institute at MegaStudy, who drew wide attention for his sharp analysis as a guest on Channel A's popular education variety program "Gongbu-reul Butakhae Teachers."
Kim has led successful admissions seminars in other districts, earning strong trust from parents. At this event, he will share key insights under the theme "Understanding and Preparing for the 2027 Early Admissions Process."
Registration opens Wednesday at 9 a.m. through the Dobong-gu website, with spots available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 250 participants.
In August, the district will offer personalized one-on-one consulting sessions for 70 12th-grade students — including repeat exam takers and out-of-school youth — who live in or attend school in Dobong-gu. Sessions will run every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Applications are accepted through the Dobong-gu website until July 17, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dobong-gu District Mayor Kim Dong-wook said summer vacation is "the most critical time for exam takers to review their admissions strategy and map out their future," adding that he hopes the seminar and personalized consultations "provide real, practical help for students trying to find their direction amid a rapidly changing admissions landscape."
