Family of three found dead in Osan apartment

Police have launched an investigation after three members of a family were found dead in an apartment in Osan, Gyeonggi Province.

According to the Osan Police Station, officers responding to a call discovered three people dead inside an apartment in Osan at around 8:50 p.m. Tuesday — a man and a woman, both in their 50s, and a man in his 20s.

The three were confirmed to be a married couple and their son.

Police were dispatched after an acquaintance of one of the victims called 112, the emergency number, saying they had received a text message in which the sender expressed despair over their circumstances.

A note was reportedly found inside the apartment.

"At this point, there are no signs of criminal activity," a police official said. "We are investigating the detailed circumstances of the case."
