'2026 Hyean' guidebook targets ultra-high-net-worth clients
40 Shinhan Premier Pathfinder experts contributed to the volume
Shinhan Financial Group announced Wednesday that it has published a wealth management guidebook titled "2026 Hyean" for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
"2026 Hyean" is the flagship content of the group's integrated wealth management brand Shinhan Premier, and marks the second edition following last year's inaugural release. Drawing on the combined asset management expertise of its banking and securities arms, the guide addresses 77 real-life dilemmas that wealthy clients face in practice — spanning investment, real estate, taxation, inheritance and business succession.
The guide is organized into seven sections: portfolio investment strategy, real estate investment strategy, inheritance and succession roadmap, comprehensive tax planning, corporate finance solutions, customized service, and responsible philanthropy. It also incorporates recent shifts in market conditions and tax code revisions to offer concrete decision-making benchmarks for wealth management.
Particularly notable are case-based treatments of questions such as how best to support a child's housing purchase and how to respond when a child declines to take over the family business. Each scenario is backed by tax simulations, relevant statutes and market data to present specific solutions.
Forty specialists from Shinhan Premier Pathfinder contributed to the guide. Shinhan Financial said the volume distills the capital markets and wealth management expertise of both its bank and securities unit into a single reference.
Shinhan Premier Pathfinder is a wealth management organization composed of top specialists from Shinhan Bank and Shinhan Investment across fields including investment strategy and portfolio management, foreign exchange, real estate, taxation, and inheritance and gift planning. The team provides tailored solutions to high-net-worth clients across those disciplines.
Alongside the guidebook's release, Shinhan Financial will hold its first in-person wealth management forum, "Shinhan Premier Pathfinder Hyean 2026," on Aug. 31. Contributors to "2026 Hyean" will present their outlooks on financial markets in the second half of the year, domestic and overseas investment strategies, and wealth management trends, and engage directly with clients.
In a foreword, Shinhan Financial Group Chairman Jin Ok-dong said that while AI is expected to take over much of what finance involves, "ultimately it is people who must read the essence of the current and make the final call." He added that he hopes the guide will serve as "a standard that clients can keep close and open at every moment of managing their assets."
Meanwhile, "2026 Hyean" will be distributed to top-tier Shinhan Premier membership clients at Shinhan Bank and Shinhan Investment. A dedicated private banker will personally deliver each personalized copy engraved with the client's name.
