Geely Auto Group said Wednesday it sold 1,422,958 vehicles worldwide in the first half of 2026, setting a record for the best half-year performance in the company's history.
Overseas sales reached 474,228 units in the first half, a 158% jump from the same period last year — already surpassing the group's total overseas sales for all of 2025. In June, monthly overseas deliveries topped 100,000 units for the first time, setting a new monthly record. New energy vehicles (NEVs) accounted for 277,189 units sold abroad, a 585% surge year-on-year, representing 59% of total overseas sales.
Zeekr, one of the group's flagship brands, sold 178,370 vehicles in the first half alone, pushing its cumulative global deliveries past 800,000 units. The brand held a 40.7% market share in Hong Kong from January through May.
The Geely brand expanded its European footprint by entering seven countries — including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and France — in just 45 days. The group also signed partnership agreements with major dealer groups in Portugal, Austria and Switzerland to strengthen its distribution network, and now sells its flagship models, the Geely E5 and the Starray EM-i, in more than 20 European countries.
Lynk & Co is also accelerating its international expansion. The flagship Lynk & Co 900 launched in new markets including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar and Vietnam, while the Lynk & Co 08 went on sale in Kazakhstan and completed its first customer deliveries there. The 08 has established itself as the best-selling D-segment plug-in hybrid in key markets including Vietnam and Mexico.
"Achieving a record 158% surge in overseas sales amid global demand concerns reflects the strong product competitiveness of Zeekr and our other group brands," a Geely Auto Group official said. "In the second half, we will further solidify our leadership in the global NEV market through a flexible new-model launch strategy tailored to each regional market, including South Korea, where the Zeekr 7X is set to debut."
Zeekr, which recently entered the South Korean import car market, has already drawn strong interest: pre-orders for the 7X surpassed 1,000 units within about a month of opening. Demand has been concentrated in the higher-end Ultra and Max trims, signaling wide consumer appetite for high-performance, long-range electric SUVs.
