The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association announced Wednesday it is accepting applications from schools to participate in its 2026 KLPGA Youth Golf Environment Development Support Project, aimed at identifying promising young golfers and expanding the sport's grassroots base.
Backed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the program has provided golf practice facilities to 22 schools nationwide since 2015, helping build a foundation for developing young players.
Recent completions include an outdoor golf practice range at Saneung Elementary School in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province in 2024, and another at Gamseong Elementary School in Sejong in 2025. This year, one elementary or middle school will again be selected from across the country to receive full support.
The selected school will receive an eight-bay outdoor golf practice range, along with equipment including club sets, golf balls, golf gloves and ball feeders. In addition, KLPGA members will visit the school in person to provide lessons through the association's volunteer coaching program.
