Early Wednesday, Lee's wife, Lee Su-jin, posted a video on social media showing the family watching the 2026 FIFA World Cup round-of-16 match between Argentina and Egypt.

In the footage, Lee Dong-gook watched the game in the living room alongside his son Sian and a daughter believed to be Jaesi. The catch: it was 3 a.m.

When Argentina scored, Jaesi shouted "That's insane!" while Sian leaped over the sofa in celebration. The video's timestamp confirmed it was 3 a.m.

As more goals followed, Jaesi jumped around with a white towel draped over her head, while Sian bounded to the floor and punched a nearby boxing bar in excitement.

Some online commenters praised the family for sharing the excitement of a major global sporting event together, but others said residents in shared housing should be more mindful of noise.

Meanwhile, Lee Dong-gook married former Miss Korea Lee Su-jin in 2005, and the couple have four daughters and one son. The family gained wide popularity through their appearances on the KBS2 variety program "Superman Is Back."
