A woman in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, with police finding multiple individually packaged narcotics inside her vehicle.
Seoul's Bangbae Police Station said Wednesday it had arrested the woman, identified only by the initial A, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act and drug-impaired driving under the Road Traffic Act, and that she is under investigation.
A allegedly caused a rear-end collision near Isu Station intersection in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, at around 9:10 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers found multiple individually packaged narcotics and psychotropic substances in her vehicle. A rapid drug test administered on the spot returned a positive result.
Police are investigating how she obtained the drugs and psychotropic substances, and are reviewing whether to seek an arrest warrant.
