The Gangwon Free Economic Zone Authority opened a promotional center on the first floor of the Mangsang Convention Center on Wednesday, timed to coincide with the opening of Mangsang Beach in Donghae, Gangwon Province, the authority announced Friday.
The center will operate through Aug. 17, excluding weekends and public holidays, and is open to the public free of charge. Group visitors can arrange guided tours with a professional staff member through advance reservations.
The promotional center provides detailed information on the Gangwon Free Economic Zone, covering development progress and the investment environment across the Okgye, Mangsang and Bukpyeong districts, along with major development plans.
Visitors can also get a comprehensive look at the zone's future vision and development direction through digital content displays, a scale model of a future city, a district-by-district information system, and investment and development plan exhibits.
"As interest in investment along the East Coast — including AI data centers — continues to grow, we will operate the promotional center to effectively communicate the future vision and investment value of the Gangwon Free Economic Zone to tourists visiting Mangsang Beach and to domestic and foreign investors," said Kim Hyeong-jin, general affairs director of the authority.
