Megazone Cloud is joining forces with Mongolia's Huree University of ICT to develop AI talent.
Megazone Cloud announced Friday that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Huree University on AI and cloud talent development at a hotel in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The agreement came out of Megazone Cloud's participation in a Mongolian economic delegation organized by the South Korean government. Huree University, based in Ulaanbaatar, is Mongolia's only university specializing in both information technology and the Korean language. It currently offers bachelor's degree programs across 16 majors in four faculties, as well as graduate programs.
Under the MOU, the two sides agreed to cooperate on jointly developing industry-driven AI and cloud curricula, building an online platform-based remote education framework, running internship programs for curriculum graduates and providing global hiring opportunities, and pursuing strategic cooperation in Mongolia's sovereign AI, robotics and physical AI sectors.
Specifically, the partners will jointly develop curricula that reflect industry demand in AI and cloud computing, and establish a remote education cooperation framework using an online education platform.
They will also run an internship program for graduates of the AI and cloud curricula and provide global hiring opportunities through Megazone Alliance's network spanning 10 countries.
The two sides also plan to identify and jointly pursue cooperation projects in Mongolia's sovereign AI, robotics and physical AI sectors.
"Megazone Cloud will combine its AI and cloud expertise and global network with Huree University's educational capabilities to jointly cultivate the practical talent Mongolia needs for its digital transformation," said Lee Ju-wan, chairman of Megazone Cloud.
"Huree University will work with Megazone Cloud to support Mongolian students in growing into AI and cloud professionals by linking industry-driven curricula with global employment opportunities," said Jeong Sun-hun, president of Huree University.
Meanwhile, Megazone Cloud is an AI and cloud company with more than 2,000 cloud and AI technology specialists. It operates local subsidiaries in 10 countries, including South Korea, North America, Japan, Southeast Asia, Oceania and the Middle East.
Last year, Megazone Cloud posted sales of 1.75 trillion won ($1.16 billion), with operating profit of 230 million won and net profit for the period of 8.2 billion won. Having returned to profitability last year, the company is now pursuing an initial public offering.
