Hourglass, a luxury vegan-oriented makeup brand imported and sold by Shinsegae International, announced Friday it has selected actor Park Gyu-young as its domestic brand partner.
The brand said it chose Park because her refined, elegant image and natural individuality align well with its values.
Park will serve as the new face of Hourglass, beginning with a campaign shoot for the brand's latest product, the Phantom Blur Balm.
The Phantom Blur Balm is the newest addition to the Phantom line, following the Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm — the product credited with sparking the "tanghuru lip" glazed-glass trend. It smooths fine lines and dry patches while enhancing the lips' natural texture.
The balm comes in five soft-toned shades that deepen in saturation and tone with each layer, letting wearers adjust color intensity to suit their mood and preference.
It is available at Hourglass stores nationwide and through Shinsegae International's digital platform Shinsegae V.
"We will showcase the new appeal of the Phantom line and actively target demand for luxury lip makeup spanning everything from glow lips to soft matte lips," a Shinsegae International Hourglass official said.
