Singer Kim Na-hee to wed in August; groom-to-be said to resemble actor Nam Joo-hyuk

Singer and comedian Kim Na-hee has announced she will marry this August, revealing the news on TV Chosun's "Joseon's Lovehunters." Her groom-to-be is a non-celebrity working in the IT industry and is said to resemble actor Nam Joo-hyuk.

In the third part of the show's fifth-anniversary special, "Joseon's Lovehunters Song Contest," airing Monday, Kim takes the main stage and personally announces, "I'm getting married this year."

Host Kim Guk-jin, caught off guard by the sudden announcement, asked when the wedding would take place. Kim Na-hee said, "It's happening in August."

Describing her future husband, Kim said with a laugh, "He's not a celebrity and works in the IT industry. And he's handsome."

She added, "People around me say he looks like actor Nam Joo-hyuk, but I'm not so sure myself."

Fellow cast members Kim Guk-jin and Kang Su-ji were among those surprised by the unexpected wedding announcement.

Earlier on "Joseon's Lovehunters," Kim had gone on a blind date with Kim Dong-young, the son of comedian Kim Hak-rae, but the two did not pursue a relationship. At the time, she said of Kim Dong-young, "He is wonderful and has a great character, but I think my match is someone else."

Meanwhile, Kim Na-hee rose to prominence after finishing fifth in season 1 of "Tomorrow's Miss Trot," a TV singing competition, and has since balanced a career in music with broadcast appearances. The upcoming episode is also expected to feature the love story behind her relationship with her groom-to-be.
