A conservative Iranian outlet has named US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several European leaders as targets for revenge over the death of Iran's former supreme leader.
Iranian hardline daily Hamshahri published an infographic Saturday naming 13 individuals as presumed targets, shortly after Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message vowing revenge for those killed in the war.
Ayatollah Mojtaba delivered the written message following the funeral of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. "We vow to avenge the pure blood of all the martyrs who fell in these two wars alongside you," he said. "This revenge is the demand of our people and must be carried out."
Hamshahri then posted the infographic online. While no names were explicitly listed, the images of Trump and Netanyahu were marked with crosshair symbols.
The list also included US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, along with European leaders — French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Since the war broke out on Feb. 28, Iran has accused European nations of complicity in the US-Israeli strikes on its territory, alleging they failed to condemn the attacks and allowed American military aircraft to pass through their airspace.
