Road cracks stretch 200 meters in Pohang's Heunghae-eup, authorities warn

A road in Heunghae-eup, Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, has developed cracks.

According to the North Gyeongsang Province Fire Department, a report was filed Sunday at around 4:36 p.m. that a road inside the Yeongil Bay General Industrial Complex in Yonghan-ri, Heunghae-eup, Buk-gu, Pohang, had cracked and sustained damage across a transverse span of about 20 meters.

Pohang city officials, police and the fire department closed the six-lane road in the area and began damage-control operations.
