The third tournament of the 2026 KPGA Junior League was held Sunday at the Kang Uk-soon Golf Academy in Ansan Par 3 in Gyeonggi Province, continuing the push to develop young golf talent.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the event drew 72 young players who competed in a nine-hole single-round stroke play format. Participants were divided into three divisions: grades 1-2, grades 3-4 and grades 5-6.
In the grades 1-2 division, Maeng Ju-hyeon of Jim McLean Golf School shot 1-over-par 28 to claim her third consecutive regular tournament title, following wins at the first and second events. In the grades 3-4 division, Choi Yul of Park Han-gi Golf Academy took the top prize with a 1-under-par 26. In the grades 5-6 division, Jang Se-i of Jim McLean Golf School won with a 1-over-par 28.
The 2026 KPGA Junior League season restructured its format by trimming the existing "Rainbow Level-Up" events to four rounds and adding four new regular tournaments, expanding competitive opportunities for young players. In the second half of the year, the league is also pursuing broader youth golf participation and family sports culture through programs including a Skills Challenge and a Family Golf Tournament.
