'Is SK Hynix a gaming company?' Singer Baek Ji-young's husband stuns crew

Actor Jung Suk-won, husband of singer Baek Ji-young, has drawn attention after asking what SK Hynix is.

A video titled "Jung Suk-won, the clueless husband who doesn't know what SK Hynix is — even though the whole country does" was uploaded to Baek Ji-young's YouTube channel on Friday.

In the video, Jung asked a crew member who had graduated from Seoul National University, "So did you finish top of your class?"

When another crew member explained that a colleague had considered applying to SK Hynix before joining their company, Jung asked, "What's SK Hynix? Where is that?" — leaving those around him visibly flustered.

Jung looked puzzled and guessed, "Is it a rival company? A gaming company?"

When the crew asked what kind of company he thought it was, Baek stepped in for her husband, saying, "This man is completely cut off from the outside world."

Jung then ventured, "Isn't it the place with Heineken?" The crew turned to Baek and asked if she was all right, to which she laughed and replied, "I trust you'll look out for me."

At Baek's request, the Seoul National University graduate explained that SK Hynix is a semiconductor company. Baek told the crew not to give everything away, adding, "Let him keep guessing. Like how it's 'Samsung' Electronics — what word goes before 'Hynix'?" Jung said he had no idea.

When Baek offered a hint — "You've probably heard of it. It's one of the biggest companies in the country" — Jung finally guessed correctly: "SK?"

Meanwhile, Baek Ji-young married Jung Suk-won, who is nine years her junior, in 2013, and the couple welcomed a daughter in 2017.
