Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun took to social media Monday to share his experience at a saemaul association summer health gathering, writing that he had joined the Ansan saemaul association's summer health gathering to stay healthy through the sweltering heat.
Lee expressed gratitude to the association's members, saying he had conveyed his appreciation to "the saemaul family members who quietly serve the community day in and day out. It is your dedication — stepping up for neighbors in need, including volunteer work to help restore the Seonggok-dong factory fire damage — that makes our community an even warmer place."
He added that the gathering was a time of warmth and connection. "We filled up on carefully prepared samgyetang and shared delicious Daebudo steamed buns, spending time full of warmth and togetherness. Going forward, Ansan will continue working alongside the saemaul association to build a warm community where we support and strengthen one another."
