President Donald Trump vowed Monday (local time) to keep striking Iran "hard" on Tuesday night and in the days ahead.
Speaking on the conservative radio program "The Hugh Hewitt Show," Trump also lashed out at Tehran, saying: "There's nothing they can do about it. They have nothing. All they can do is talk big."
Trump also addressed the ceasefire MOU with Iran, suggesting the country had failed a test he said the agreement was designed to administer. He described the MOU as a preliminary step before a full peace deal — "not a big deal" in itself — and called it "a kind of test." "They didn't pass that test. They didn't respect that test," he said.
US forces struck Iran on Sunday, targeting air defense infrastructure including a radar station on Qeshm Island, a key Iranian military hub. Iran has retaliated against US military bases in the Middle East after each American strike, and the exchanges show no sign of stopping.
