Hyundai Motor launches 2027 Nexo with starting price of W36.97m

Hyundai Motor on Tuesday launched the 2027 Nexo, an annual model update of the all-new Nexo. The updated model strengthens the entry trim's features and expands the range of optional equipment.

Starting with the entry-level Modern trim, the 2027 Nexo comes standard with a 100W USB charging cable, a roof rack and faux-leather seats with patch application — features previously reserved for the Exclusive Special trim.

The Modern trim also gains access to three new option packages: a built-in cam 2 Plus with augmented-reality navigation; Hyundai SmartSense, which includes forward collision-avoidance assist and highway driving assist 2; and Comfort Plus, comprising a power driver's seat, power front passenger seat and front ventilated seats.

The Prestige trim adds a new rear-seat smart entertainment system featuring a 14.6-inch FHD touchscreen that supports streaming services including YouTube, Netflix and LG U+ children's programming.

Prices after tax incentives are 76.47 million won ($50,700) for the Modern, 79.37 million won for the Exclusive and 83.79 million won for the Prestige. With a government subsidy of 22.5 million won and local government subsidies of between 7 million won and 17 million won, buyers could bring the effective purchase price down to around 36.97 million won.

To further ease the financial burden on buyers, Hyundai Motor is also running a dedicated program called "Nexo Easy Start," which bundles three offerings: a deferred-return installment plan called "Nexo Burden Down" featuring low monthly payments; a hydrogen charging credit benefit; and "Nexo Every Care," a support program covering the full ownership cycle from purchase through resale.

"The 2027 Nexo broadens customer choice by strengthening the entry trim's features," a Hyundai Motor official said. "We hope Nexo Easy Start will allow more customers to experience the appeal of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles."

Meanwhile, Nexo sales in the domestic market last month surged 818 percent year-on-year to 419 units.
