The Yeonsu Culture Foundation has launched a public recruitment drive for executive positions.
The foundation opened applications Tuesday for one president, seven non-standing directors and one non-standing auditor.
The president will serve a three-year term from the date of appointment, with one renewal permitted, and will represent the foundation, oversee its fiscal affairs and administrative operations, and direct and supervise staff.
Non-standing directors and the auditor will serve two-year terms, also renewable once, handling deliberation and resolution at board meetings and auditing foundation operations.
Candidates for president must meet one of the following criteria: a Grade 4 or higher civil servant with at least five years of experience in cultural administration; an executive or division head-level or higher position at a public institution, culture foundation or equivalent for at least 10 years; at least 15 years of experience at an organization in the arts and culture sector; or a master's degree or higher in a relevant field with at least 10 years of experience.
Non-standing director candidates must demonstrate specialized knowledge and experience in arts and culture and the potential to contribute to the development of local arts. The non-standing auditor position requires either a license as an attorney, certified public accountant, tax accountant or certified labor attorney, or at least five years of experience in finance, accounting or law.
The application period runs through July 29, with document submissions accepted from Tuesday through July 29. Candidates will undergo a document screening, and presidential applicants will also face an interview. Final candidates will be selected from those who score 70 points or higher in the evaluation.
