Gunpo's ninth elected-term municipal planning team — which served as the mayoral transition committee — held a final report presentation and dissolution ceremony Wednesday.
About 20 people attended, including Mayor Han Dae-hee, team director Lee Gil-ho, deputy director Choi Hyo-suk, and other committee and advisory members.
During its first phase of activities through late June, the team reviewed materials by subcommittee, inspected 362 pending and campaign-pledge projects, conducted field visits and drafted candidate slogans for the new administration. It also reached agreements to revisit 22 campaign pledges, laying the groundwork for a successful launch of the ninth elected term.
A public feedback channel called "Jenan ON," opened when the team launched, received a total of 47 citizen proposals. After departmental review, 20 were deemed feasible, 17 were already under way and 10 were ruled out. Submitters were notified of the results at Wednesday's presentation.
Director Lee presented Mayor Han with a final report summarizing the team's work. The report included pre-review findings on 92 campaign-pledge projects, a 100-day action plan from the mayor's inauguration and a range of policy proposals aimed at delivering swift, tangible change to the city.
The team plans to compile members' recommendations into an activity white paper titled "Gunpo Seolyedo" — a blueprint for the city — and release it to the public in August.
