Golfzon (CEO Park Kang-su) announced Thursday that it will host the 5th final of the 2026 Lotte Rentacar WGTOUR on Sunday at Golfzon Joymaroo Champions Hall in Daejeon, with a total purse of 80 million won ($53,600) and a first-place prize of 17 million won.
The competition will be played over two rounds of 36-hole stroke play in a single day using Golfzon's TwoVision NX tour mode. The course is Pine Stone CC, one of Golfzon's most popular layouts, known for its challenging design. A field of 80 players — comprising qualifiers, top rookies and invited players — will tee off, with the top 60 advancing to the final round after a back-count cutoff following the first round.
A key storyline heading into the event is that each of the four previous WGTOUR finals this season has produced a different champion. Among those in the field are leading WGTOUR players Park Dan-yu, Hong Hyeon-ji, Han Ji-min and Shim Ji-yeon, along with Lee Jin-gyeong, winner of the season's third major, and Park Seong-a, who claimed her first career victory at the fourth event. Japanese LPGA player Arimura Chie has also been invited as a special entry, adding further appeal for spectators.
The event is free and open to the public at Golfzon Joymaroo. Fans can also enjoy pre-registration events, a WGTOUR photo zone and complimentary snacks on site.
